Day One Hundred Seventy Nine - Recovery Day 52
Woohoo I got to sleep in today!
Well, I didn't sleep too late. My niece's birthday was today, so my Uncle invited me and Lisa, along with the rest of the family, to come to her birthday party. They rented a place over in Kirtland to have the party. Usually in the morning, after Hallowed Eve, we go to the church and start cleaning. But, this birthday party was our excuse to not have to do that. Instead, we all agreed to go to the party first, which was at noon, and then go to the church and clean after, which is what we did. So I can thank my niece for this one ;) She's so cute, her name is Riley. She's only a year old today and everyone loves her. All the family, including her mom's family were there. Her grandma, her mom's mom, I think may have actually liked me because she was asking my mom about me and if I was her brother lol. That was so cool ;) The food was good! We ate and had a good time. I even won a prize there, which was a Storm trooper key chain. That was neat and it's currently hanging up in my truck.
After we ate, Lees and I headed to the church. Pastor was already there. We started cleaning up and tearing everything down. I was so glad I didn't have to do any heavy lifting. Instead, everyone else did it and all I had to do was watch. There's perks to Recovery haha. After a while, everyone else showed up and we got the church nice and clean. The floors are mopped up really good and everything is lookin really nice! I'm so glad that everyone helped clean. Now it looks like we never did anything there. Already, Pastor is talking about the Christmas program and the Christmas parade so he wants me to get right on that. I'm looking forward to it. I think we'll have a great time!!
Well Lisa and I had planned to go to Rio Rancho, near Albuquerque to watch 'Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension' but we didn't get done until late. Instead, we decided to take a drive out to the Ute Mountain Casino in Colorado. It's about an hour away from here. Anyway, we finally headed out there about 8pm tonight. Honestly, it was a HUGE MISTAKE!!! Not only did we lose money, but that place was filthy and completely disgusting! They also had false advertising. We were thinking of spending the night in the hotel there. They were advertising rooms for $34 per night. Well we ask and they said their rooms are $104 per night! We're like, WHAT?!! But yeah that place was so crowded! I mean, elbow to elbow ppl. I'm so disappointed. I thought atleast we would've won something, but NOTHING! I don't think anyone was winning tonight. I did not hear one jackpot being announced. It was ridiculous. Every machine we went to it was the same story. Almost, Almost, Almost! They were just teasers, that's it. Ugh, that was a mistake going out there and I regret it so bad. I'm so mad at myself for doing that. I should've just left after losing that first ten bucks. Usually when I go to a casino I've never been to, I win. I win lots! This one, Nothing! It just robbed me. Ugh I'm so mad.
We came home after and stopped at Walmart to get a pizza. I'm so tired I'm glad I made it back home. Now we're gonna eat and watch a bit of the movie '1408' then head to bed. It was a long day! Hopefully tomorrow will be better :(
