Day One Hundred Sixteen - San Diego Trip was AWESOME

HELLO HELLO HELLO!!!!
We are back from California!!!
All I can say about our trip....A M A Z I N G!!!!!
We had such an Awesome time out there, OMG!!! The ocean was Beautiful!!! Sea World was Awesome!!! Universal Studios was Unbelievable!!!! There are so many attractive people out there and the women are HOT!!! Oh man, they are so hot out there!

So last Saturday after we left, which wasn't until after 1pm lol. We headed out and arrived in Flagstaff that evening. I got gas at the Sams Club there, then headed down to Phoenix. We stopped at a rest area down near Phoenix. Oh man talk about HOT!!! It is super hot down there. People always say that New Mexico is the desert...well they're idiots!!! We got to Phoenix after it got dark. We just rolled right thru the city. Our goal was Yuma, AZ. We cruised all the way down and we arrived in Yuma at about 11:30pm. We got a hotel there. I was so tired driving in. Lisa did her best to keep me awake. I was really starting to doze off just before hitting Yuma. Dammit, it is HOT down there!!! At 11:30pm, it was still 108 degrees. Wow, I don't wanna imagine how hot it is during the day, like around high noon!!! Dang!! Anyway, the room was Beautiful. We stayed at this Motel 6 and I swear, we had the Best room in the hotel. The whole front wall was a window and you have an excellent view of everything!! The room was really nice and cool. It was the only place we could actually breathe. Because of the heat, it was very hard to breathe out there. So we slept great! We ate sandwiches...ugh which right now, I am totally sick of YUCK!!!! I ain't eating another sandwich for a long LONG time!!! Anyway, we slept great. The next morning, we got ready and headed out. Back to what I was saying about the desert, YUMA, AZ IS THE DESERT!!!! Not New Mexico!! Here where I live in NM, it is nice and cool. We're right next to Colorado. The hottest it gets here is about 101 and that's in middle of the afternoon in July. Other than that, the summer temp ranges from between 95 and 100 degrees, but that's midsummer throughout. It doesn't really start to get hot until July. Dang, down there in Yuma, freakin OVEN down there!!! I can't see how people actually live there! I wouldn't make it down there. Way too hot!!

Anyway, we headed to San Diego after that. Nice drive thru desert, sand dunes, and a dry rock mountain. That was cool! Oh man that car we had was so great on gas! When we got on top of the mountain, we stopped at this casino. It was called, the Golden Acorn Casino. We both got memberships there. That was nice! We didn't win anything, though. But it was fun to get out and stretch, then just enjoy ourselves. We didn't leave there until about noon. Then, we headed down the mountain and rolled right into San Diego. Lisa saw the ocean for the first time! She was completely blown away. It was so beautiful down there!
We actually got lost for a while. There was so many ppl down there, we couldn't find anything. We drove around in the fancy part of the city near the baseball stadium. There must've been something going on, a game or something because there were tons of ppl walking over there. We also drove over the bay. This HUGE bridge that went up and up and up over the bay. That was so beautiful!! There were ships in the bay and boats. Then there was the beach. We tired stopping at the beach, but because it was Sunday, there was NO parking anywhere! Everything was full. We tried and tried, but couldn't find one parking space. I was very frustrated by this time. I was tired, my back was killing me and I needed to get out, but it was just too crowded. So, we went and found the hotel. That was the only other thing I was worried about, but as it turned out, that was unnecessary because the room was there waiting! We checked in and I paid for it. Everything was good.

Now the one thing that totally sucked was our hotel room. That place...was NOT like the pictures. It was definitely a resort, but it looked more like a roadside hotel. The room was ok, but no fridge, no microwave. The cooler seemed to be broken and wouldn't stay on. It was hot in the room and took a while for it to actually cool off. Our damn shower was broken. Throughout the week, I asked those idiots twice to fix it, but they never did. Housekeeping did a crummy job of cleaning it up also. So, yeah I'm never going to stay there again. But I will say this, they had a tavern there and oh man, there was this super HOT girl bartending. She had the shortest short shorts I'd ever seen a woman wear in public. She was freakin sexy!!! All the old dudes there were really crowding her and tryna flirt haha. Crazy! I never got to talk with her, but she did follow me to the restaurant and we exchanged a few glances and smiles. That was Awesome! She probably thought Lisa and I were a couple though, which everything thinks. That's the thing that seems to interfere with me and women. They think I already have one lol. Lisa is not my girlfriend. She's actually related to me. Her family and my family are related. They're not close or anything, but we're definitely blood related. I still refer to her as my best friend, though. She's part of my family now and they all love her. Anyway, that was our hotel room. It lasted throughout the week though. It was nice enough and as long as it gave us a place to keep our stuff and sleep and shower, that's all we needed. We're not really picky, well I'm not. Lisa, yeah she's very picky.

Anyway after we unloaded the car that day, we went back to the beach. We finally got lucky and found a parking space right next to the beach. That was fun, but very very VERY CROWDED!!! But for me, I got to see Lisa jump in the ocean. For the first time in her life, she tasted ocean water hahahahaha :D I always told her how it tasted, but she never really knew what I was talking about until that day. She was spittin and grossing out lol. But she enjoyed herself. I couldn't swim with her just then because I had to hold all our stuff. I was so paranoid out there. I had my phone and all my money and cards with me. I didn't want to leave it in the car. Because there were so many ppl, I didn't want to risk someone breaking into the car and stealing all our money, then having our trip ruined, so I carried everything with me. Because of that, Lisa and I didn't get to swim together. I just held the stuff while she swam. I took pictures and she took tons of pix. Then she spent the next hour or so looking for sea shells. It was very fun! We stayed there until the sun began to set. Finally everyone started leaving the beach and the crowds died down. Oh man, there was this woman I could not take my eyes off that came to the beach just before we left. She stood out to me more than anyone else. She had an Amazing body. She was tanned, like she went to the beach a lot and she had red hair. Red hair makes me crazy lol. She was Awesome! I wish I could've met her, but I really didn't feel on my game out there. My stomach was bothering me a bit, and I was tired from driving all day.

Well, that was our first night. On Monday, we went to Sea World. That was so fun! We did everything. We bought hats and merchandise. We watched all the shows we could. Lisa had so much fun. She wanted to see everything. There was just so much to do and we didn't have enough time to do everything. We rode the water rides, which were Awesome! That morning, we had breakfast with Shamu. It's this thing where you actually dine next to Shamu's private pool. They give us a Killer Whale show right there while we're eating. It's so Amazing!! We had a great time. The food was Awesome! Lisa spent the whole time taking pix and by the time they were done with the show, her food was cold lol. The rest of the day was so fun! We spent over 2 hours at the arcade and I won lots of stuffed animals, which I gave to Lisa. By the end of the day, she was carrying over 9 stuffed animals lol. That was funny! Dang, my stomach was kinda bothering me a lot that day. Can't wait to get this hernia fixed.

On Tuesday, we made the 3 hours drive to Los Angeles. We actually made it to LA in 2 hours, but the traffic, oh man. We were stuck in that crazy traffic for a long time. We didn't finally make it to Universal Studios until after 10:30am, which was bad. It was great though. Everywhere we went, I bought us the close parking. It was expensive, but I didn't want us to have to walk from a long ways away. The park was Awesome!! I bought us this thing called "Front of Line" passes. Those things were over a hundred dollars, but oh my gosh they were worth it!!! I mean, totally worth it!!! We rode all the rides and did not have to wait in line. We just flashed our pass and went right to the front and got on the rides. We felt like VIP's there haha. So we rode everything there! We had such a fun time. We watched the 'Waterworld' show, then we rode the Shrek 4D ride, and watched the Dog show, then rode the Jurassic Park ride, and the Transformers ride, which was my favorite. We bought lots of things there for everyone. Lisa's Harry Potter land was not opening until 2016. We're planning on going back out there next summer for sure. There was so much we didn't get to do because like Sea World, we ran out of time. By the days end, I was so tired and my feet and legs were hurting really bad. Before heading back to San Diego, we had dinner at the Hard Rock Café there in the City Walk just outside the park. That was nice, but the service was really slow. We didn't leave the place until after 11:30pm. I was so tired driving back to the hotel. I stayed wide awake, though. Lisa dozed off, of course. But I got us back. We arrived around 2pm. It was cool. The next day we were going to go to the San Diego Zoo, but we were both too tired. Also, that morning I got a call from an old friend. That's a whole other story, but she and I had a really bad argument back in 2013 and we stopped being friends. Anyway, she called me up and we talked, before she got mad again and hung up on me. Oh well, I'm thru with all that.

That day we went to the ocean and just enjoyed the day. We wanted to watch a movie, but we didn't. Instead, we went swimming and just hung around San Diego. The following day, our last day there, we did the same thing. We went up to the Casino outside of San Diego. I forget what it was called. Sycuan Casino, yeah that's it. It was nice! I won a little bit of money on a quarter machine. That place was really really nice! We both had a great time. We got memberships there as well. We hope to revisit them next summer. So  yeah, that was our trip. The next day, Friday, we got up and loaded up the car after getting ready, then we headed on home. It was sad to leave Cali. We totally love it up there! For me, it really felt like I was home. I've always been drawn to the ocean. If I could live there, I definitely would. The temperature there was so nice! It was like 74 to 76 degrees. Nice and cool and the smell of the ocean is priceless. Soon as we left Cali, we headed back east toward AZ, it got really hot and soon we hit the dry heat again. We stopped at this rest area and oh man it was too hot there! I missed the ocean so bad by that point. We headed back and made it to Flagstaff about an hour before the sun went down. Lisa drove for a little bit when we hit Holbrook. She drove us into Gallup. She was really tense because of all the trucks on the road. She told me she couldn't believe I drove out there and around. She could barely make that hour drive lol. So when we hit Gallup last night about 10pm or so, I drove us the rest of the way home. We completely tapped out on money. We had zero money left. Spent everything we had, which is sad. I was hoping to have a couple hundred dollars when we came home, but nadda.

We rolled into our driveway sometime around midnight last night. Our animals were soooo happy to see us, especially our dogs. They were excited and everything! I fed them all and gave them some treats. All of them were so happy we were home, which made us both feel great. We unloaded the car and took everything out.

This morning, we took the car up town and washed it, then we vacuumed it out and filled up the gas tank. I was really upset taking the car back because the girl that gave us the car, well she was there again, she told me the wrong price. I bought the car back with no damage and a full tank, as well as cleaned, yet she still charged me that extra hundred dollars. That was really fun to deal with. She told us the wrong price so after we left, we had to race to the bank and put the money in there. Ugh, I hate how ppl don't do their jobs correctly.

Well it feels great to be home! Tomorrow I want to take my dogs for a walk. Cooper is getting so chubby lol. Cody looks restless. He's been tied up for just over 2 weeks now because of that whole mine spill in the river here. They told everyone not to let their animals down to the water, so I made sure to have Cody tied up because when he's not tied up, he runs off and goes right down there and jumps in. Crazy dog! So, that's my plan tomorrow. Later on today, Lisa and I are going to go to everyone house and drop off all the gifts we got them in Cali. We also got some beach sand.
Thursday night, we stopped by this place called 'Shell Beach' in San Diego. I wished we found that place sooner. It was so nice there! We parked right next to the beach and walked down to the water. There were seals lounging on the rocks and the water was Awesome! There was a wedding happening down by the water at the time. Not a big wedding, just a man and his wife, and the minister. Very cool! Anyway, we got a bag full of beach sand and Lisa got even more shells. It was so pretty out there because the clouds came in and I love seeing those dark clouds over the ocean. That's my favorite scenery. Earlier, Lisa made everyone a gift of beach sand and sea shells. We're gonna pass that out to all of them later.

So that was our Amazing trip to California. I so can't wait to go back next summer. We are definitely going to try and make New York City next June, though. That's our next big trip! I've got that one planned out as well. We just need to save up money once we get a handle on all our bills. It's gonna be tough the next month or so, but that's what we were prepared for! Ok, time to get to it ;)
