Day One Hundred - My 34th Birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!
Of course, today I did ZERO exercising! Well, honestly I'm still just taking it easy. I am so scared of making my stomach worse before our San Diego trip. Plus, I feel that as a Birthday gift to myself, I figured I'd take some time off. I've been really tired lately of exercising. Waking up everyday, going on my 3 miles, then coming home and doin my Bowflex/Ab lounge/Exercise bike and then doing DDP yoga, my floor exercises, and my dumbbell workouts every evening. Then the in between days doing my outside weights workout. Dang, seriously that's a lot of work. So yeah, I need this break. I'm just gonna take it easy for a few days now. My stomach feels fine. I'll just see how it is after a short few days. Right now, I'm going to enjoy my day!
Today was Awesome! This morning we left kinda late because I was responding to all my facebook pals. Then, Lisa and I went to have lunch at the 505 restaurant, which was Amazing! The absolute BEST turkey burger I've ever had. It was so good!! So were the fries. After that, we went to the bank because I needed to get my account situated. Apparently they closed one of my accounts, so I needed to get it reopened. That was Awesome because the guy I worked with was really nice and they even gave me a sorta birthday gift. I got a portable phone charger, so that was really Awesome! Now I have a portable charger to take with me to San Diego next Saturday.
Afterwards, Lisa and I went to Hastings and I bought a couple movies, even bought Lisa another of her comic books. Then we went to the casino which was a BIG MISTAKE! Yeah, I lost money...again! I swear, I never win anything any more, so yeah I think I'm getting close to being completely DONE with casinos. They're just robbing me!
After that, we went to meet my family for Dinner. This morning my dad texted me and as my birthday gift they were gonna take me to dinner and a movie, so I chose Olive Garden. We all met there and ate. Aside from my mom and dad not talking to each other and there being obvious anger/tension between them, it was actually a pretty fun evening. After we ate, we went to the mall and watched 'VACATION'. Oh my gosh, that was a very VERY funny movie! I had not laughed that hard at a movie in a long long time! So funny. We were all laughing so hard, well all except my mom. She apparently thinks she's too "Christian" to watch such movies because her Holy eyes can't see or listen to such things. I don't like that about her because if you knew her, you would know there is so much about her that's bad. Anger problems, etc.
Anyway, after that they gave me a few clothes for my birthday, including swimming trunks to wear at the ocean in San Diego. Then they gave me a card and that's it. Still wish I got that truck last year..but I guess a few clothes is ok and makes up for that....
All in all, the day was great! We went back to their place for cake and ice cream. After that I went to the casino and lost more money, but only 20 bucks because I was trying hard to win back the money I lost today...but that didn't happen. So yeah, I'm really getting tired of the whole casino scene.
That was my day! Definitely better than last year, because last year the whole day I was angry and my spirit was broken because I did not get that truck that I was so much looking forward to :( Oh man, to this day it still hurts. That was a courtesy of my mom. She didn't want my dad to buy it for me. Oh she'll buy my little brother anything he wants. On his birthday they took him to Albuquerque, gave him money, bought him an Xbox One and did whatever he wanted, then they threw him a birthday dinner when they got home. Me...I got clothes that's it.
Well my San Diego trip is my birthday present and Lisa's as well. We're both really looking forward to that. The big gift for me is taking Lisa to the ocean for the first time. I've been wanting to do that for years and now, I'll finally be able to do it. It'll be really fun! Well, I'm worn out from a long day so I'll be heading to bed soon. Goodnight!
